DVYN
Rooted in R&B, soul and jazz, DVYN (pronounced “divine”) combines timeless arrangements with contemporary songwriting. Honest and unfiltered, her lyrics allow her to express through music what she could not otherwise put into words. Born in Lagos and now based in Toronto, DVYN remains deeply connected to her African roots, drawing both on this heritage and on the realities of Afro-descendant women today. With a handful of singles to her name, she has quickly gained attention on social media, notably through her refined vintage aesthetic. Her compositions have already won over prestigious figures, including her heroes Jill Scott and Erykah Badu, as well as filmmaker Spike Lee.
