Luke Bacchus

Luke Bacchus is a London-born pianist, composer, and academic of Guyanese descent, recognized as a finalist in the 2022 BBC Young Jazz Musician competition. A graduate of Trinity Laban with First Class Honours, his music uniquely blends traditional jazz with Caribbean-inspired sounds, reflecting his ongoing academic research and personal exploration of Caribbean identity through master’s and PhD studies at UCL and Birmingham City University. Bacchus has performed globally both as a bandleader and alongside prominent jazz artists such as Yussef Dayes, Ezra Collective, and Nubya Garcia, cementing his reputation as an innovative emerging voice in modern jazz.
